Project 365:TWO-HUNDRED-FORTY-FOUR

More self portraits in Joshua Tree National Park, using different lighting styles.  Some use the sun as the main source, others use a flash.  Some use an umbrella, some are bare flash.  I had to break out the 25 foot eTTL cord tonight since the Canon wireless didn’t want to play with the direct sun.  All in all, I’ve pretty much nailed balancing ambient with flash and getting the look I want.   This first one was just fun to do.

Road to Joshua Tree National Park

I’m enjoying my time in the high desert of Twentynine Palms, CA.  There is something about the high desert that is indescribably beautiful, despite the harsh conditions.  I am looking forward to another few trips up into Joshua Tree National Park to do some landscape shooting.
