  1. I see one of your tags was strobist. I assume by that you used some sort of fill flash here. Can you elaborate your setup used? Was it just on-camera fill?

    • I did use two flashes, one on either side, at about a 45 degree angle, and just over head height, aimed at Steve’s face. Both with diffusion domes. I used eTTL and high-speed sync through the ST-E2 transmitter mounted on my 40D. I played around with different exposure and flash exposure values, as well as different apertures. I like the eTTL (versus manual) in these situations since it lets me work quickly. For this series I used both flashes on the same group since I wanted balanced flash on both sides that I worked against the sun which was high and direct overhead. Hope that all makes sense.
