Another Tuesday Night street scene in downtown Charleston, SC

Street Walkers

Considering the image:  My Tuesday nights are becoming “street scene Tuesdays” since I am out and about in the evening.  Here is a shot of the old Riviera theater on King Street in downtown Charleston.  It makes a good backdrop for capturing a street scene.  All you have to do is wait for something interesting to happen.

Making the photograph:  I wanted to capture people walking with just a bit of blurred motion, while people standing would be mostly sharp.  To do that I used ISO 800 to keep the shutter speeds relatively high, 1/15th in this case at f/4 on the EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk I.  I used my standard black and white post processing with a green filter applied, some brightness and contrast on the theater sign, and then a nice tritone when the image was done.
