Crying Time

I don’t know about the food photography business.  This stuff is tougher than it looks!  Much like the early guitar photo I did, I find that these have shadows and specular highlights everywhere that can be difficult to control, particularly in tight spaces like a kitchen.  I had originally used a smaller board, but needed the space of a large board to help with the reflections.

Once again, I made use of shallower depth of field at about f4 on the 50mm lens to keep the eye on the subject.

So here is a stock shot of an onion on the cutting board.  My eyes are still watering!
