Photograph of the marsh sunset over Daniel Island

Eventide

Sun sets on the Cooper River from Daniel Island.  This image brings together some of my favorite things about Charleston.  I love the way the spanish moss glows in the dying sunlight.  The marsh grass burns with an amber radiance.  And the tide ebbs to reveal the fragrant pluff mud.  Once again, the comforts of Charleston draw me back into her bosom.
